ABC Bike checks will be provided along with a Bike Handling and Safety Skills Course. This event is sponsored by Kiwanis, Safe Routes to School, and Community Education and Recreation.

Preston Vaughn, Fairmont High School senior, has been named a Rotary "Student of the Week." He is the son of Preston Vaughn and Gail Peterson. Following graduation Preston will be attending Kansas University to study Aerospace Engineering.

High school senior, Kaycie Brookens, has been named a Rotary "Student of the Week." She is the daughter of Dan & Jennifer Brookens. Following high school graduation, Kaycie will be attending Grinnell College to study political science.

𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘 Fairmont Area Schools and MN Motor Bus would like to thank our community members for sharing and communicating their concern regarding a recent social media post seeking support for our bus drivers and students for which they serve. Your caring outreach is appreciated as we continually work to provide and maintain a safe environment for our students while on school transportation. Fairmont Area Schools works alongside MN Motor Bus to address all reported instances of behavior on school busses and has responded in a manner to support positive student interactions on the bus. We take all reports of bus behavior seriously. MN Motor Bus has invested in security measures on its buses, including the usage of cameras. These devices, in addition to communication procedures between the bus company and our schools, allow us to produce information with accuracy to develop an appropriate response. Our goal at Fairmont Area Schools is to work to ensure our students are supported in a safe learning environment. We are responding to the posted information in a manner that we believe will accomplish this outcome for the students and families in our school system, as well as our entire learning community.
