Krysten Walters - First Grade Teacher
About Me:
My name is Krysten Walters. I have had a dream of being a teacher ever since I discovered what a teacher was. I am so excited to be teaching first grade this year! This is my first year teaching English Language at Fairmont Elementary School. I grew up in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, a small in southwestern Wisconsin. I attended college at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I received my degree in elementary education with a minor in early childhood. I am licensed to teach students from birth through sixth grade. I also received my Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. I am licensed to teach ELL students from kindergarten through 12th grade. My husband, kids, and I live on an acreage outside of Fairmont with our horses, cats, dogs, and chickens.
I love teaching because it provides so many different opportunities to impact the future leaders of our world. I love when students have "light bulb" moments! It is so exciting to see what I am teaching click in their heads, and knowing they understand the content.
