About Me:
I am one of the lucky Kindergarten teachers here at Fairmont Elementary School. I grew up in a wonderful little neighborhood in Fairmont before going to Minnesota State University, Mankato where I received a degree in Elementary Education. My husband, James, and I relocated back to the area outside of East Chain where we stay busy keeping up with our acreage, cattle, farming and two children, Waylon and Bailee.
Teaching is my passion! I am part of one of the greatest professions and I am excited to come to work everyday to see and be a part of the many smiles in our hallways!
My purpose each and every year is to spark a love of learning in my students in an environment where we collectively create trust, safety and growth.
I do what I do... so that all students can feel genuinely loved and safe.
I do what I do... so that I can be a positive influence in children's lives.
I do what I do... to build relationships and community in and outside of my classroom.
I do what I do... because I believe in the work and the impact that teaching can have.
