Mrs. Bents - 4th grade teacher
About Me:
My name is Anna Bents. I grew up on a farm in Southern Minnesota, graduating from Granada-Huntley East Chain High School in 1998. I attended Southwest State University in Marshall, MN for two years and transferred to Minnesota State University, Mankato, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching. I earned my Masters Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Saint Mary's University in 2017.
I starting teaching at Armstrong-Ringsted in the 2004-2005 school year and continued my teaching career there (then North Union) until the 2013-2014 school year. I have taught first grade up to high school and have enjoyed and loved each level of students for many different reasons.
Teaching is my passion and I couldn't be happier doing that here at Fairmont Area Schools.
I have three children Ava, Owen, and Easton. They keep me very busy in my free time. Ian (my husband), Ava, Owen, Easton and I live on the lake in Fairmont, MN and enjoy any moments we all have together.
I teach because I love the joy my students bring to our classroom each and every day! Kids are hard-working and eager to learn new things. I enjoy being a part of shaping them into good, kind people so that they are empathetic to others and can make our world a better place to be.
