Angie Simmering - Special Education Teacher

About Me:

Hello! I'm Ms. Simmering and I teach reading, writing, and organization for students in special education in 7th and 8th grades. I attended Winona State University to obtain my Elementary and Special Education Teaching Licence with an emphasis in Reading. Then, after I began teaching at FHS, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Southwest State University and I have continue to take courses online to further my education. Even though this is my 27th year at FHS, I am still finding new things to learn about education and our students. Fairmont is my hometown. I even attended and graduated from FHS (a few) years ago! I live here with my twin sons, Grant and Carter who are both in 7th grade this year!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my kids in the outdoors, at their sports, at the pool, or on the lakes. We go fishing and camping often too. I enjoy music, playing the piano, and singing. Watching movies and reading are my favorite personal quiet time activities.
